Onboarding Assistant

Are you a recent graduate looking to take your first step in a career in law?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Onboarding Assistant to join our Sales Support team. This is a full-time, entry level position and forms part of our Pathway scheme through the firm. Laurus has a track-record for developing homegrown talent from entry level to training contract and beyond.

The new onboarding team will form part of our central Sales Support and will be critical to ensuring our clients receive the highest level of client-care from the outset of their engagement with Laurus.

As an Onboarding Assistant, you’ll be sitting at the heart of our client onboarding team – championing our digital proposition, carrying out due diligence and performing the highest levels of client care.

You will manage the onboarding process from the point of client instruction, working across our digital systems to run identification, anti-money laundering and compliance checks. Assisting our clients to supply relevant information quickly and providing data to our legal teams accurately. Your role is key to enabling cases to progress efficiently.

Supported by the rest of our centralised support teams, you will need to demonstrate a proactive can-do attitude towards completing a wide range of tasks within tight deadlines.

You will be comfortable in an open, entrepreneurial and progressive working culture. Equally, you’ll be at home dealing with the meticulous checking of documents, and making sure details are correct across key IT systems.

Helping our teams deliver Legal Wellbeing is a vital part of the role. You’ll be visible client-side so your interactions are key to our continued success and growth.

You will be a recent graduate interested in a Legal career at a modern, disruptive Law firm. You will work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a close attention to detail.

You will need to be prepared to think on your feet and sustain a positive attitude in a dynamic legal environment. Although we are looking for a proactive self-starter, you will have access to full support and guidance from our teams whenever needed.

This role offers the opportunity to liaise with partners, legal advisors, support services, clients and the senior management team - excellent communication skills are needed to ensure you are comfortable to do so. This will include challenging and resolving improper systems use, supporting solicitors’ processes and contributing to a culture of first-class client care.

We are looking for like-minded people to help us evolve our business and enhance our reputation - and yours. In return we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

We hold regular wellbeing and social initiatives and encourage positive mental health both inside and outside of the business. We welcome applications from all diversity groups and backgrounds, and offer opportunities for growth, mentoring and development. We’re committed to enabling everyone to thrive and understanding and celebrating our differences is a key part of that.

We believe in modern working practices. We embrace technology to work flexibly and in an agile way, inside and outside of our offices in the City and Clapham.
