We have an exciting opportunity to join Laurus as our first, permanent HR hire. This being a newly created role, you will have the autonomy to grow our People offering by supporting existing employees and helping to attract future talent.
Laurus has a track-record for developing homegrown talent from entry level to training contract and beyond - you will be integral in championing this. We are a modern, disruptive law firm moving swiftly from start-up to scale-up. With this growth comes a need for like-minded people to develop alongside us.
As a HR Advisor you will support the management team in all People related aspects of the firm.
Employee relations is a key part of this role, ensuring all policies are consistent and that all queries are dealt with promptly and reliably. This includes supporting performance management and working alongside our legal teams to deliver capability assessments and highlight excellence.
You will also support our recruitment campaigns, take ownership of wellbeing initiatives, work closely with our finance team on payroll and benefits, and input to training and development. All whilst ensuring Laurus remains compliant with current employment legislation.
We are a tech-enabled business and use Bamboo to manage our employee lifecycle. Bamboo is an intuitive system, of which you'll become a master user. You'll use it to cover day to day HR functions such as recording annual leave and absence, alongside recruitment, document management and automated onboarding and off-boarding processes.
You will be driven and determined, having a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar HR role. You will be qualified to degree level or above and will hold a CIPD certificate level 3-5.
Emotional intelligence and being a team player are absolute musts, as you will work with a number of people and build relationships at all levels across the firm. Self-confidence and being persuasive are important soft skills to have, as well as being highly organised and capable of learning and working with IT systems.
